ItsNate: Mixtape 'Never Ask Take Everything '

Check out ItsNate's, Mixtape just out today, this is what you need to be pumping out ya speakers on this ridiculously hot day!!! or you can just "roll up and piff to it" There's a very old skool vibe to it, life trials and tribulations, reminiscing, aspiring, all that you would hope to expect from a young twenty something hip hop artist...We appreciate his content, non invasive, far from offensive and somewhat philosophical but not too heavy, the mixtape definitely still holds an element of quirkiness with a range of different instrumentals (track 7) 'Doing What I does' ft Ash-Catchem have a listen its well worth it =)

Milly's World - A Jovial Affair

Milly's World Was last night, if u missed it then shame on you! The acts were undoubtedly amazeballs! probably due to the fact that it was Millys B-Day special which was cause for much celebration!
The Night itself was chilled, good vibes, rather tasty specimens lol
Literally every act Unique in its own way shone for all the right reasons.
Ava Leigh, a British Reggae songstress graced the stage with her distinctive strong vocals and rhythmically vibrant instrumentals.

Juliette Ashby was one of the performers. Hot talent, calm, collected, soulful accompanied by her loxed up backing singer, Ava Leigh showcased her effortless vocals and catchy songs, a definate one to watch!

Random Impulse also performed on the night, a fusion of rock and soul. download his mix tape here, a testament to the talented all round musicians, it gives a fresh insight into the world of grime whilst keeping other niche genre of music fans content with his rocky elements. Definitely a success of new fusions and one to have in the collection.
Random Impulse (Left) and Friends on the night.
One of the Highlights was ItsNates performed with his urban London 'swag' and 'cool like that' attitude, often what you find with Rappers they can be less interested in the crowd and not always encouraging interaction however ItsNate was charming, comical and put on a show.with his unique hand gestures lol....
ItsNate Performing on the night.
Its always a pleasure to know that someone really enjoys thier own songs, as he commented "I like this one, your gonna like this one, Its real lively" It makes that person come accross quite endeering. He also invited Ash- Catchem on stage to perform their collabo Track.

The Song which really stood  out to me (because of my unrequited love for the town) was SLondon-cos "this is london Living" (smart lyric input).
I always feel a close sentiment towards London and everything it has to offer which was crafted into his lyrics, the beat, produced by - had that euphoric old skool hip hop sound which I fully appreciated and it sounded enchanting with the live band, as you know We love a good instrumental! Download his new mixtape "Never Ask, Take Everything" Here.

Below is the Video for the Track ItsNate Performed with Ash-Catchem!

Throughout the night people were enjoying themselves inside and out so at half time the opportunity was grabbed for me to get trigger happy!!! here is some of that evidence...

An amazing performance came from Caan as he arguably cheekily stole the show. His performance was Just Ridiculous! there is this immense intensity about him which draws you  in. To be honest I didn't have too much high expectations because I hadnt seen him before but Impressed is a definate understatement! U believed every word he sang.

A few more random pics as I had the stolen the sisters camera!

Thught I might add that I spoke to Carmen and Corey whom discovered Caan on Youtube so headed down to the eclectic event... they  said about Millys world.. "this is such a random night for us, we researched and found out he was coming down here today, I asked if they will be coming down to the next one in November adding its on my birthday the 16th *as if they were the slightest bit interested in the day I was born* and they said definately!!!!

Jill Is so definitely the SH*T #Boussy! when ur feeling a little apprehensive. When a song makes you feel as if its just for you. That moment.

Womanifesto Lyrics

Clearly I am not a fat ass
I am active brain
and lip smacking peach deep
sometimes too aggressive in its honesty
and heart sweet
that loves whole-ly and completely
whom it may choose
whom ever it may choose

I am not gonna lie and passify
I am arms to hold
I am lips to speak
I am a muthafucking "G"

Strong legs that stroll off the 33 bus
or out of a money green Phantom confortably
Knees that bend to pray
clean from Ajax washings
hair that is thick and soft
Thigh that be-twixt
an amazing all expense grand prize

I am eyes that sing
smile that brightens
touch that rings
and supply euphoric release
I am a Grand Dame Queen Beast

I am warm
I am peace
From the roads of Botswana to 23rd Street
From the inside third eye
ever watching this wicked wicked system of things
I do see

I am friend to pen
and a lover of strong women
A Diamond to men
I am curious and interested like children
I welcome the wise to teach
appreciator of my culture
Thick not just from bone dense and eat

I have a rhythm in my ways
and a practice in my seek
and yes I do crave the rhythm of my space
with a man that rejoyces in God's Grace

with faith I do hear to listen
two hands that fist
when forced pushes to shove
and your ego won't submit

I am gifted
I am all of this
and indeed the Shit

Clearly I am not just an ass

Welcome to London

A Right Pair presents to you "LaLaLa"- 'GrandCentral ft Trademark Da SkyDiver & Miss Galaxy'
The video features those skateboard kids 'kickin and pushin' through those familiarly gritty London streets... <3 the sound is beautifully authentic ,- showing U.K Hip Hop exists in its natural form.

The track featuring a lovely lady named Ms Galaxy is reminiscent of a past time long lost, whether it is the instrumentals or flow this song evokes nostalgia and the added bonus of the blissful vocals provided by Miss galaxy seals the deal for a well produced hip hop track *gets out baggy jeans and red chequered oversized flannel shirt, squeezes into grey cotton boobtube top, finishes with beanie and breaks into to do the early 90's street corner bop*

*Kudos*

Enter the World of Milly....

Millys World is a showcase which provides a platform for established talents to relish in their specific art.
For several years it has given Camden an insight into various types of acts ranging from grime to soul to indie. It is an event which would tickle your fancy lf you chose to provide your night with  intimate entertainment of a high class in a relaxed environment. Having been to many I would class myself as a glorified regular, as Millys World (hosted by Milly herself) reiterates that relaxed atmosphere as she welcomes newcomers to her world.

The Next Millys World will showcase the likes of Random Impulse, Juliette Ashby & Nate and is on Wednesday 21st of September.
Priced at a reasonable £5 you would be silly to miss out ... thats an educated conclusion for you. Toodles...x

True HipHop and The Naked Soul

Tonight a right pairs wandering travels led to 'The Naked Soul' in the busy location of London Bridge... In an area usually swarming with ties and suits, heels clicking along the road and that usual London demeanor of "get out of my way im in a rush"  The Miller had a change of clientele for the night... The night themed with the styles, instrumentals and songs provided by the 'Neo Soul' greats such as Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Common you know, those real afrocentric sexy instrumental heartwrenching vocals and all round musicians... writers...
This  event was special, raw un found untainted talent... rather than image orientated the show was all about the sounds.. which was beautifully complimented by the youthful band playing, special *kudos* to the bass player cos A Right Pair do love a sexy jazzy tone, always catches us off guard lol.

Obviously with a showcase you can't not have an open mic section which was rather interesting with various talents, there were two ladies at the end that were ridiculously amazeballs! they both sang gospel songs, you know that time when you know they know they are going to be really good and they put on that shy act they go on the stage acting coy so your like awww bless and they just belt out the first line and you just think your so good, you make me sick *eyes green with jelousy* yes that moment occureed and they still remain nameless.... such a shame! when their names are uncovered we shall update... untill then they shall be named Harmony and Ruth... (dunno why, it just came out that way).

jill scott

Why oh why does Jill Scott have to be so amazing!
I do complain when I find something so amazing it's sickening but when that emotion runs through you is actually overwhelming and energy consuming.
From the release of her latest album it is clear that from all of the time she has spent away, the earthy element to her music still continues on proving why she reigns at the top of that modern soul movement.
This is the feeeling that Jill Scott gives you, from classic Jill Scott to the new age woman that she is today... it's a beautiful thing to see that this beautiful woman is still beautiful through and through. Musically Jill scott is still a maverick. and We salute you.

*Jill Scott - Rolling Hills*

One of A Right Pairs favourites is theres an aspect of the song which reminds us of  "my life my life my life my ;life in the sunshine" Roy Ayers - Everybody Loves the Sunshine there's something about Jill Scott in the way she delivers her lyrics its like that cool aunty telling you the normal messages of life but shes so funk its Kool.
